AIBUY exists because the place where buying decisions happen moved from search boxes to AI assistants — and nobody audits what those assistants say. We are buyer-side: we publish what assistants recommend, with the evidence, so the answers can be checked instead of trusted.
This policy is binding. It is the reason our data is worth reading and our services are worth paying for.
Rankings, mentions, removal from reports, “consultant's pick” labels, survey inclusion — none of it is for sale. Any offer along these lines gets published (anonymized) in our newsletter.
When we test a category that includes a client's brand, the client is scored by the same rules as competitors. We serve at most one client per brand per category and disclose the relationship in any report that touches their category.
Our money comes from merchant diagnostics, monitoring subscriptions, and clearly labeled newsletter sponsorships. Affiliate links, if ever present, are labeled and excluded from scoring inputs.
If a published number is wrong, the correction ships with a changelog entry on the report page — visible, dated, and never silently rewritten. Method changes bump the method version, never the history.
Everything repeatable — prompts, testing, scoring, charts, scheduling — runs automatically, with the pipeline documented in our method. Everything that is a stance — conclusions, opinions, recommendations, this policy — is written by people. Every published piece carries a card stating which is which.
The badge every AIBUY report carries. Spec is public: if a piece has no badge, treat it as unverified — including ours.
AIBUY is currently a small independent research operation based between China and the US time zones, built by people who have spent a decade in cross-border e-commerce and data infrastructure. We publish under the AIBUY name; individual bylines appear on flagship reports.
aibuy.org (this site) covers the English-speaking market. aibuy.org.cn covers the China market in Chinese. Same method, same metrics, separate data and operations — the separation is what makes the cross-market comparison meaningful.
China-market personal data is stored and processed in China; global-site data outside. We follow PIPL for Chinese operations and GDPR for EU visitors. Details in privacy.
If our data contradicts what you see in an assistant, we want to know — corrections with evidence get a public changelog entry. Contact us →
